These essays focus on the interpretation of pictures and fotos of 19th and 20th century’s techno-scientific civilization, tracing the emotional factor of individual identification with artefacts. They represent the new research field of Historical technology acceptance studies at KIT with a special interest in the history of transport and mobility.
