This lecture on the state of Russian Orthodoxy in America was given by Ioann Nedzel’nitskii (1866–1946), a Russian Orthodox priest who served for many years in the United States and was an early advocate for the establishment of an exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church in North America. Nedzel’nitskii was born into a priestly family in Odessa and was himself ordained in 1877.
