The work presented here deals with the schools established by missionaries of the Russian Orthodox Church in the northern part of the Siberian region of Tobolsk. It was published in 1936 during the Soviet era, in Leningrad, by the publishing house of the Institute of the Peoples of the Northern Territory, and it also appeared in English in the newsletter of the Association of the Institute of the Peoples of the Northern Territory (number 7).
